Event Description

Back-to-School Transition Week is designed to help GFDA families move into September with confidence, calm, and clear communication. September can be a big adjustment for children. Some children are returning to familiar routines, while others may be starting a new program, transitioning into school, or joining before and after school care. At Garderie La Fontaine de l’Amitié, we understand that children thrive when routines are predictable, adults are supportive, and families feel informed. This transition week gives families helpful reminders and supports children as they settle into the rhythm of the new school year. During this transition period, GFDA may share reminders related to: Drop-off and pickup routines, Before & After School care expectations, Personal belongings and labelling, Communication with educators, Helping children manage separation and new routines, Program-specific updates, Safety and supervision reminders, Why This Week Matters. A smooth transition helps children feel safe, confident, and ready to participate in their daily learning environment. GFDA’s warm, French-immersion setting supports children with patience, encouragement, and consistent routines.
